Sometimes you get to the clinic, and they don’t have the cure for the ailment that you are suffering from; sometimes the only way to find cure is to go to the old man next door who s got this strange thing that he does with leaves and a keg of oil. It s alternative medicine, and it is not only real, it actually could be good for you too.
I hear that the Good Book mentioned that what you believe in is what works for you. I kinda like to think that too, that s why when someone tells me that they can get cured from a snake bite by biting on a snake themselves, I tend to believe them too. Only I wouldn’t do it just yet.
However hard you try, if you don’t believe in it, it is not likely to work for you. People over centuries have tried to disprove the existence and efficiency of alternative medicine, and have met with varying degrees of success and failure. Suffice to say that the field still lives on today, and more people continue to appreciate it all the time.
